Patient's Rights
As a patient in a New York State hospital, you have certain rights and protections guaranteed by state and federal laws. These exist to help ensure the quality and safety of your hospital care.
To help you understand these rights, the New York State Department of Health and its Consumer Health Information Council published a booklet "Your Rights as a Hospital Patient." It will be provided to you upon your admission to the hospital. However, if you would like a copy of this booklet before your admission, please call (212) 746-4250.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding Patients' Rights, please call Patient Services at (212) 746-4293.
